The so-called Golden Age has dawned.

Cloudships bearing the symbol of the Thrice-Golden Empire of Industry prowl the skies, imposing the Emperor’s will across the civilized world.

Peter Calroy, a thief with nothing to lose, makes a daring attempt to steal one of these prized vessels. Caught in the act, he’s sentenced to servitude aboard the very cloudship he tried to steal, bound for the distant Unlit Continent. In this land of deadly secrets, hidden treasures, and unexpected revelations, Peter discovers who he is—and what he’s willing to fight for.

Far beyond the Empire’s sprawling cities, Kalee of the Darkwind Tribe faces her own trial: find a mentor, or forfeit her future. Spurned by the tribal elders, she’s forced to cast her lot with a half-mad hermit who believes her to be the subject of a grim prophecy. When the mysterious Outsiders threaten their peaceful valley, her journey to find the truth soon becomes a mission to protect all she holds dear.

Empire and Tribe.

Machine and myth.

Technology and tradition.

When their paths collide, Peter and Kalee must find common ground—or watch their worlds crumble.
